Thankful for This Community — A Thanksgiving Note from Katie
Let’s be real — “grateful” doesn’t even begin to cover how I feel this Thanksgiving season.
This year has been full of change, growth, and so many incredible moments. From helping first-time buyers unlock the door to their very first home, to guiding families as they upsize, downsize, or start fresh — I’ve been reminded over and over again that real estate is about so much more than buying or selling houses. It’s about people. It’s about home. And it’s about community.
Grateful for My Clients (and Friends)
Every time someone chooses me as their agent, I don’t take it lightly. You’re trusting me with one of the biggest decisions of your life — and that’s a privilege I’ll never get used to. What’s even better? So many of my clients have become friends. We’ve shared coffees at Component, celebrated closings with tacos from Quesadilla Gorilla, and swapped parenting stories while signing final papers. It’s real life, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
Grateful for Visalia
Visalia isn’t just where I work — it’s home. I love our little downtown, the oak-lined neighborhoods, and how everyone seems to know someone who knows someone. I love Saturday mornings at the farmers market, walks down Main Street, and quick weekend escapes to the coast when I need a reset.
This community has shown me what connection looks like. The way small businesses lift each other up, the way families show up for one another, the way people care — that’s what makes Visalia special.
Grateful for the Journey
Balancing life as a new wife and mom, a business owner, and a real estate agent has been a wild ride — but it’s one I’m thankful for every single day. There are moments of chaos, sure (usually involving coffee and a car seat), but there’s also so much joy. The kind that reminds me why I started this in the first place: to help people find spaces where their real lives can unfold.
From My Family to Yours
So, from my family to yours — Happy Thanksgiving. 🧡 Whether you’re gathered around a big table, taking a quiet weekend trip, or simply slowing down at home, I hope you feel surrounded by the people and moments that matter most.
And if one of your goals for the year ahead involves finding a new home here in Visalia or anywhere across the Central Valley — I’d be honored to help you get there.
Finding the perfect home isn’t about a price point — it’s a feeling. And your home should work for you.
With gratitude,
Katie Howison
